Mini baccarat is played at a smaller table with lower betting limits than traditional baccarat. You choose to bet on either the player hand, banker hand, or a tie before cards are dealt. The dealer handles all the cards without any input from players.
Two cards go to the player position and two to the banker position. Hand values are calculated by adding the cards and using only the right digit of the total. Face cards and tens count as zero, while aces count as one.
A third card may be dealt to either hand based on fixed drawing rules you don’t need to memorize. The hand closest to nine wins. Banker bets pay 0.95 to 1 after a 5% commission, player bets pay 1 to 1, and tie bets typically pay 8 to 1.
